Roots

If there had to be one word to sum up Musical Roots it would be  ‘Different’.

 

Yes I know that we have all the usual instruments, guitar, percussion, bass, fiddle etc. But it’s the way we put them together and how we play them that makes us different.

 

Take a driving six string and some really tight bass playing,  add a cajon to give a beat and that allows the two superbly played but contrasting fiddles to weave their melodies on top.

 

Add some vocals and a wee bit of squeezebox and we have the sound that is most distinctively Musical Roots.
